About

Funny about work. Serious about health.

Work Survival Club is an editorial brand for people who like their jobs enough to keep them and would like to survive them intact.

The premise

Modern work is often bad for the body, bad for the brain, and quietly bad for everyday happiness. Most advice about it is either corporate wellness theatre or supplements sold with a straight face. We wanted the third thing: clear, funny, well-sourced writing that treats desk work as an occupational health question.

Who it's for

  • People who sit for a living and feel it in their back, eyes and sleep.
  • People burning out slowly enough that nobody has noticed, including them.
  • Managers who would like fewer meetings and better evidence for saying so.

How we write

Jokes about work. No jokes about your health. Where the evidence is strong we say so; where it is thin, we say that too, which is more often than the wellness industry would like.

What we are not

We are not clinicians and this is not medical advice. We are a well-read guide who has done the reading, cites it, and tells you when to talk to an actual doctor.
