Standards
Editorial standards
The rules that decide what gets published here, and what gets cut.
Sourcing
- Health claims are sourced to systematic reviews, guideline bodies, or named primary research — not to a brand's landing page.
- Every article lists its sources at the bottom, linked where public.
- Where evidence is weak or contested, we say so in the sentence that makes the claim, not in a footnote.
Content labelling
Every piece is labelled as one of four kinds:
- Original reporting — written here from primary sources.
- Curated summary — a plain-language read of other people's research.
- Republished with permission — syndicated content, credited to its source.
- Commentary — opinion, clearly flagged as such.
Products and health claims
Gear is reviewed for comfort, durability and value. We do not attribute disease prevention, treatment or cure to a product, a supplement or a wearable. Anything that sounds like a clinical outcome needs clinical evidence or it does not run.
Corrections
Errors are fixed in place with a dated correction note at the foot of the piece. Substantive changes are described, not quietly swapped. Email us and we will act on it.
Independence
Commercial partners never see copy before publication and never influence rankings. See how we make money.
