Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer or brand. You pay the same price either way.

What a commission does not buy

• It does not buy a recommendation, a ranking, or a kind word.
• It does not buy pre-publication review of anything we write.
• It does not stop us saying a product is overpriced, unnecessary, or bad.

Our rules

• Every page with affiliate links carries a disclosure above the first link.
• Affiliate links use rel="sponsored nofollow" and open in a new tab.
• We do not recommend a product for a health claim it cannot support. Gear is comfort and convenience unless the evidence says otherwise.
• Roundups are written before the partner list is checked, not after. If nothing in a category is worth buying, we say so and the roundup gets shorter.

What we don't do

No paid guest posts, no sponsored articles dressed as editorial, no link insertions bought after publication, and no supplement claims about curing, treating or preventing disease.

Tell us when we get it wrong

If you spot an unlabelled commercial link or a claim that outruns its evidence, tell us and we will fix or remove it.
