This can lead to cognitive fatigue, where the brain's resources for attention and decision-making become depleted, even after periods of apparent rest.

Many individuals address this by attempting to 'switch off' — engaging in passive activities such as watching television or browsing social media. While these provide a break from active work, they often involve predictable patterns and minimal cognitive challenge, which may not offer the necessary stimulation for deeper neural recovery.
